Danielle, her husband, and their two children once lived in a large home with 2,200 square feet of space.

But in August 2019, they got an RV to live in instead. Danielle often talks about this big change on her Instagram.

She tells her followers that moving into an RV was something she never imagined they would do.

She and her family had thought about selling their house. When Danielle looked into it, she found out that renting another house would cost more than their old house mortgage.

Then, she saw pictures on Instagram of people happily living in RVs. This made her think about doing the same.

Danielle’s father was very kind. He offered to let them park their RV on his property in California. Danielle happily accepted his offer.

Danielle has been working hard to make their RV feel like a real home for her family. Let’s see how she has transformed it:

She started with the front steps. Danielle placed a blue-painted wooden table at the base of the steps to make them sturdier.

Then, she painted the original steps with a black and white stencil design. At the door, there’s a “home sweet home” welcome mat and a cheerful “hello” sign.

The sign hangs over a basket of flowers, making it a warm invitation for anyone who visits.

If someone in the family wants to relax and read a book or just look out the window, they can sit on the dark olive green couch.

It has narrow wooden tables on both sides. But if they prefer to watch TV, they might choose the caramel brown couch.

It faces the flat screen TV directly.

The kitchen used to be dark and gloomy. Now, it’s bright and welcoming because of a new coat of paint.

The island was dark brown but is now a light aquamarine blue. The cabinets, also once brown, are now white.

A white subway tile backsplash with black accents completes the new look.

In the master bedroom, a large comfortable bed fills most of the space. The low, white ceiling and creamy-white bedding make the room feel peaceful and calm.

Mirrors on the closet doors make the room look bigger than it really is. The room has patterned wallpaper that adds an interesting look to the mostly one-color space.

Danielle’s son has a cozy bunk room where he can relax at the end of the day. The bed was made from a piece of plywood, and the mattress was taken from his old bed.

A simple curtain in the room provides privacy. Danielle stores toys in an 8-drawer dresser called Nordli that she bought from Ikea.

She made some changes to it so it would fit perfectly under the bed.

Danielle likes to mix patterns to add character to a space. In the bathroom, she painted a design on the upper part of the wall using a stencil.

She used subway tiles on the lower part. A wooden ladder, which she found at an estate sale, holds a towel and a plant.

There are vertical cubbyholes that store extra towels and wicker baskets for toiletries.
