The dark teal cabinets tie all these looks together, making it feel modern but cozy. This tiny house also has a lot of storage. Check out all those drawers and cabinets!
Here’s another house with a darker teal that looks a bit like olive green. But instead of a bathroom under the loft, it has a cozy living room.
As someone who loves to cook, I prefer this setup because it has room for a big stove and oven. But I think the first tiny house has more charm. This home could use some plants – like small trees, hanging plants, or herbs on the window sill.

From this spot, we can’t see much of the loft, but the lights make it feel warm and welcoming. I also like the plants around the loft walls and window. The coolest part of this design is the vinyl record storage in the stairs. It’s fun and useful.
The stairs to the loft are narrow and steep, so the sleek handrail is really important.
Loft Bed with Cubbies
Check out this amazing door! Wow. This tiny home is long and narrow but feels big because of its white walls and ceiling. They have wood accents that look nice.
The loft’s walls are made with open cubbies and basket drawers.
This is a smart way to mix storage and style.
Make sure the shelf is really secure to keep the loft safe. Here’s a loft with a homemade look. You can build these cubbies yourself with nails and plywood.
Like the last photo, this tiny house also has storage under the stairs. But here, the drawers are not covered. I think having doors on storage is important in a small house. It keeps things from looking messy too quickly.
Loft with Retractable Ladder
This tiny house has dark wood floors and door frames, white cabinets, and black furniture. A retractable ladder is great for small spaces.
You can slide it out of the way when you’re not using it, which makes the living area downstairs feel bigger. I like the earthy colors on the bench backrest.
Adding some plants would make this space even nicer.
“Around the World” Retro Tiny House
This tiny house is cute and has a retro style. The ceiling has wallpaper that looks like an old-world map, matching the colors of the microwave and mini-fridge.
The loft is easy to get to with simple stairs on the right. But there’s no railing, so sleeping up there might make me nervous. A double railing, like the ones you see on a kitchen pantry or spice rack, would look great here.
Wrap-Around Loft
If you’re new to living in a tiny house, this design might be perfect. It has a wrap-around loft that feels like having two floors. There’s lots of room in the loft for beds, books, and clothes. There’s even a Murphy bed at the far end. Smart!
With some decorations and cozy things, this tiny house would quickly feel like home.

From another angle, you can see there’s enough room for two small bedrooms in this house. The wood on the ceiling could make it feel dark, so having good lights is important. I really like this modern chandelier.
Putting a skylight in the beautiful arched ceiling would be a great idea.
Zen-Inspired Tiny House with Loft Bed
This tiny house has two kitchen counters running side by side with a small bathroom at the end. Climb the sleek ladder and you’ll find a loft with a big Buddha statue that adds a peaceful Zen feel. It provides a peaceful vibe.
Above the large kitchen windows, there’s a floating shelf. It looks nice and is also useful. You can use it for storing food or as a bookshelf.
And hanging plants are always a good idea.
Modern “Tiny Tudor” Interior
This tiny house updates the classic Tudor style with dark wood floors and cabinets, white walls, and a traditional floral rug.
The ladder to the loft is on a rail, so you can move it out of the way when you don’t need it. I think the bright blue wall in the small bathroom doesn’t quite fit.
A darker blue might look better.
Beachy Tiny House with Netted Loft
This tiny house really uses its space well. The loft leads to a netted area that stretches the length of the loft.
For teens and adults, this is a perfect spot to relax. If you have little kids, it would be a fun playroom. Down below, there’s a living area with large stairs to the loft. The stairs are deep enough to include full-size cabinets.
Loft with Plush Rug
This loft has enough room for a single mattress and some box-shelf storage. The plush white rug makes it a cozy place to sleep.
We can’t see behind the loft wall, but there might be space for more storage, a beanbag, or a small office area. I love the hanging herbs on the railing below the loft. They add a touch of nature and smell great.
Sunlit Tiny House with Wooden Accents
This tiny house is bright and sunny with lots of windows and white walls and counters. There’s an L-shaped kitchen with white subway tiles and floating shelves.
Curved stairs lead to a lovely semi-private loft bedroom. I like the thin wooden slats that act like a wall but are open like a railing.
There’s a cute little fireplace being used as a side table. If it’s cold, you might want to connect it to a chimney.
Here’s another tiny home with big windows to let in lots of sunlight.
This one has a galley kitchen with lots of storage under the stairs. There’s also a small breakfast nook to enjoy coffee in the sunlight. The only thing I’d change is to add more steps to the stairs—they are a bit too far apart.
Next is this stylish house.
The loft has a small living room, and there’s a bedroom nook below.
Of our three sunny tiny homes, this one has the least counter and storage space. Adding storage bins that double as ottomans in the living room could help.
I really like the look of the white paneling and black iron railing. It’s sleek and clean.
Mezzanine Loft
This tiny house has a mezzanine loft that serves as a living room upstairs, and below it, there’s a bedroom with a sliding barn-style door. I love this design because when you’re in the kitchen, you can still see and talk to your guests in the living room.
But, this tiny house could use some smarter storage. The kitchen shelves would benefit from labeled bins in clear or light colors to make the small space work better.
Here’s another mezzanine loft idea.
In this design, the upstairs is more private with a sturdy wooden half-wall. There’s also a small breakfast nook with a pull-out table.
This kind of smart furniture is great for tiny homes. To make the living room more lively, I’d add a small tree and some art around the TV.
Loft Bed in Tiny House
This house has a Scandinavian style with white and cream colors. The bedroom is a loft bed above a white couch and wardrobe.
What’s really cool is the changing area under the loft. It has a lot of storage for clothes, shoes, bags, and likely linens too.
I like the tree in the narrow entryway, but the space could use more decoration, like wall art or fairy lights around the loft railing.
Chill-Out Nook in Loft
Here, the dining area features a deep turquoise cushion on the bench. This bench pulls out into a bed. Above it, cabinets stretch across the full width of the house.
And just above that, there’s a cozy little loft, perfect for enjoying coffee, reading, or creating art! What stands out to me is the chopping board that fits over the kitchen sink. It extends the counter space and cleverly hides the sink and any dirty dishes.
Timber-Framed Loft
We’re getting cozy in this timber-framed loft. It has beautiful cathedral-like timber arches. This loft is smartly designed with deep drawers that are as wide as the bed. This is a great way to use space well.
The quilt on the bed makes it feel cozy and homey, don’t you think? However, the cords at the bed’s end are messy and need organizing.
Here’s another timber loft. In this design, we can see the whole tiny house.
At the top, there’s an A-frame loft with skylights in the angled ceiling. A ladder connects this loft to the cabin’s lower level.
At the back of the house, there’s a small kitchen. At the bottom of the ladder, there’s a living room with a blue-gray couch and a fireplace.
The lighting here is great—it makes the space warm and welcoming.
Mid-Level Platform Bed
This mezzanine-style loft has a mid-level platform bed. A short flight of stairs takes you down to a living room with a black couch and the kitchen.
I love the gallery wall. It adds character without filling up the room with too much stuff. The nightstand next to the bed is a smart choice because you can store a basket of books or crafts under it.
Compact Double Rooms
This tiny home really maximizes space. Under the loft, there’s a dining area with benches that have storage. The stairs to the loft also have storage cubbies.
In the loft, there are two full-size beds! I like how some of the stair cubbies are used for decoration. It shows that being practical doesn’t have to be dull.
Windows, Windows, and more Windows!
This tiny home has windows everywhere—in the loft, below the loft, and even a beautiful service window in the kitchen. The house feels airy and bright.
In small homes, it’s easy for the air to become stuffy and humid. Lots of windows help keep the air fresh.
The Birds of Paradise tree in the loft is a perfect touch for this modern-rustic home.
Next, we have a more industrial tiny house.
It also has many windows, including a skylight in the loft. Below the loft is a galley kitchen that leads to a lovely backyard patio.
This industrial design is quite dark, so all the windows and good lighting are needed to make the space feel open.
I love the pendant lights hanging in the loft. But if you’re tall, be careful not to bump your head when going up and down the stairs.
Finally, we see a nearly double-story tiny house with a high, pointed ceiling. Below the loft is a U-shaped kitchen with a knife block and a spice rack on the counter.
The walls and ceiling are made of treated plywood.
With good lighting, like what we see here, plywood can look deliberate and stylish. But with harsh lighting, it might look rough and makeshift.
While I really like the leather ottoman used as a couch, I would have placed it under the window to make it easier to move up into the kitchen.
Tiny House with Cast Iron Fireplace
Here’s a tiny house with teal cabinets. It features a cozy living room in the loft, easy-to-use stairs, a tall stunning cabinet, and the star of the home—a large closed combustion fireplace. The fireplace is perfectly placed.
You can feel its warmth from both the living room and the kitchen/bedroom area. The long chimney also helps heat the upper part of the loft.
In this design, we have not one, but two fireplaces. Downstairs, there’s a double-sided fireplace, and upstairs in the loft, there’s a cast iron fireplace.
I love the look of this house—the all-white interior with a mix of rustic, modern, and vintage decor. However, I’d adjust the hide rug to make the living room even cozier.
Here’s another tiny house that uses unpainted plywood and shiplap paneling.
It has a rustic Nordic feel with neutral colors, a pendant light, and an armchair that reminds me of driftwood. The chimney from the closed-combustion fireplace goes all the way to the ceiling of this two-story house.
The loft has a mattress for a futon-style bed. It’s earthy and natural, but I think adding a bookshelf could give it more character and color.
Open Closet and Working Space Under Loft Bed
This design gives a great idea of what living in a tiny house is like!
Climb the ladder to find a loft bed with a low bookshelf, making the room semi-private. Below the loft, there’s a clothes rail, a beautiful mid-century sideboard, and a pegboard for tool storage on the wall. There’s even space for a sofa and armchair!
Under-the-Stairs Storage
Next, we have a narrow kitchen with a single counter that leads to a small bathroom with a shower. The stairs will take you up to a cozy and private loft bedroom.
Storing stationery and books under the stairs is a clever and fun idea.
I really like how the hanging plants on the wooden rod make this tiny house special. They use indoor plants as beautiful decorations.
Indoor-Outdoor Tinyhouse
Imagine staying in this tiny house that blends indoor and outdoor spaces, nestled in a forest. Pure bliss. I can live here forever. Climb the ladder to a loft bedroom with windows along the entire wall, offering an incredible view from the bed.
Below, there’s a compact kitchen and living room with a fireplace. While I love this design, it needs some railings for safety, both upstairs and downstairs.
Neutrals and Natural Wood
Last on our list of tiny houses with lofts is this one decorated in natural and neutral tones, using plywood and shiplap paneling.
The loft is big enough for a full-size bedroom. Underneath, there’s a good-sized kitchen with three stools at a counter that serves as a dining area.
All this tiny house needs is a soft rug, maybe in deep greens or oranges, to make the living room feel more vibrant.
