From dream to reality: Brittney & Harry’s custom tiny home journey

Sharing is caring!

The tiny home is a Denali model, which is 39 feet long and 8.5 feet wide. It is customized to the owners’ liking. Here are some of the main features:

Bedroom: The bedroom is in a raised section called a gooseneck. This design lets people stand up fully in the bedroom. It has bedside tables with storage, drawers under the bed, and a large storage space above the bathroom that you can reach through a sliding door.

Kitchen: The kitchen features wooden butcher block countertops and a big farmhouse sink that looks out a window. It has a stove with four burners that use propane gas, plus a dishwasher.

This is why the house is 39 feet long—having a dishwasher made them add extra space. The kitchen also has a large fridge and a pantry. The pantry holds food and also the pets’ food and toys.

Living Room: The living room is next to the kitchen. It has an area for watching TV and playing games. Harry designed it for his video games and board games. Brittney displays her decorative Lego sets around the house, which makes it feel more personal.

Bathroom: The bathroom has a washer-dryer machine, a toilet that flushes, and a shower with white tiles. There are shelves for each person and a special spot for the cats’ litter box.

Storage: There is a lot of built-in storage. For example, each step on the stairs to the bedroom has a drawer for storage. There’s more storage under the bed, in the kitchen cabinets, and outside for things like snowboards and bicycles.

Utilities: The house uses propane gas for the stove and hot water heater. It has two small units that heat and cool the place. The home is parked at a place called Tiny Tranquility, where the owners pay $720 each month for their spot and other services.

Brittney and Harry decided to live in a tiny house after watching TV shows about it. They picked the Denali model from Timbercraft and made some changes to it.

They added a gooseneck bedroom for more room above their heads. They didn’t build the house themselves but they helped design it to make sure it was just right for them and their three pets.

They found a place to put their tiny home at Tiny Tranquility park on the Oregon coast. Their home has a stove that uses propane gas, a water heater that doesn’t use a tank, and lots of special storage spaces.

They love being outdoors, and they have a deck and are close to the beach where they walk every day.

For Brittney and Harry, building a tiny home was about making a simple, happy place for themselves and their pets.

Their Husky, Iskey, loves the beach near their home. Even though she’s older, she quickly got used to living by the coast. Walking on the beach every day is the best part of her day.

They even made the stairs in the house safe for her with special carpet grips because older dogs can slip easily.

Their two cats, Kitten and Lucille, have neat places in the house too. One cool thing is a hidden spot for their litter box in the bathroom. This keeps the house from smelling like a litter box and surprises visitors.

Kitten, the fluffy orange cat, likes to relax in snug spots around the house. Lucille, who likes to explore, enjoys sitting on a cat tower in the living room where she can look out.

For Brittney and Harry, their tiny home is more than just a place to live. It shows how much they love their pets and the beautiful coastal area they now call home.

After three years, their well-designed home has given them and their pets a simple, loving place to live. Iskey enjoys running on the beach, Kitten has her cozy corners, and Lucille watches the world from high up, making their tiny house a perfect home for all of them.
