Completion Date: We finished setting up the vehicle on September 10, 2022. It took us more than six months to get everything ready, including over two months to find the right materials and make the plans.
Insulation and Walls: We used two layers of cork for insulation, along with wool made from sheep, cotton, and linen, which is about 4 cm thick. We added a special layer to keep moisture out and used special insulation for the ceiling and floor.
Interior Walls and Windows: The walls are covered with a type of wood called spruce that’s 1.8 cm thick. It’s treated to resist water from steam and last a long time. The windows are double-glazed and big, measuring 1100mm by 450mm.
Bed and Seating: There’s a bed that’s 1.8 meters long and 1.35 meters wide, with a part that can turn into a table and a bench. The mattress is very comfy and has a special layer on top to keep you cool.
Kitchen: There’s a stove with three burners and an oven that’s perfect for cooking, even in a small space.
Ventilation: There’s a fan that can change speeds and detects rain automatically.
Water System: We have a water pump that works by itself when you turn the taps on or off. There’s a clean water tank and a grey water tank, each holding 60 liters, which should last about two days.
Shower and Heating: The shower is waterproof and gets hot water from a 10-liter boiler. We also have a heater that you can set the temperature on with a digital display.
Gas and Electricity: The gas system is safe and checked. It can last for about two weeks. The electrical system uses batteries and a solar panel to stay charged, so you have power even in the winter unless it’s very shady.
Storage: There’s lots of room to store your things and a big trunk for even more space.
Maintenance: Everything is in good working condition with no repairs needed right now. The battery, alternator, and windscreen are new, and some other parts were replaced last year.
