This van is perfect for a couple or a family with up to five members. It has a simple design with a big seating area and a kitchen that’s just the right size. The van has two seats for passengers that you can take out quickly and easily.
Safety is very important to us, so we’ve designed the van without heavy storage on top. Instead, we have two strong, comfy beds that hang like hammocks.
They’re made from a tough, waterproof material called Ballistic Cordura. You can fold these beds up fast, use them to store things, or slide them back to make more space.
Even with the beds down at night, there’s still lots of room to walk around and sit comfortably in the van. The beds lock into place so they don’t move when you’re driving, and you don’t need to take them down.
Our favorite part of the van is the main bed. It’s designed to switch from day use to night use smoothly. It uses strong slides that can hold up to 500 pounds, which is more than enough for most adults.
The back seats and windows are all original parts from FORD. You can remove the seats quickly to make more room. The van has passed its latest check-up and will be serviced before it’s sold. It was bought from an Arnold Clark dealership with 23,000 miles on it and was last serviced at that time.
The van drives perfectly, just as you would expect for its age and mileage. The paint is also in excellent condition. We’ve made sure the van is very comfortable for riders by nearly getting rid of all road noise. The only small noise you might hear is from the fan on the roof when it’s very windy.
Insulation: The van has top-quality soundproofing materials everywhere. We’ve used a special wool inside the walls and a tough spray foam in hard-to-reach spots. There are thick insulation boards behind the walls and under the floors and back doors.
Everything is sealed with foil tape to keep out moisture, and a reflective material keeps the van cool in summer and warm in winter. We also put foam around the windows and doors to keep drafts out.
Bed Size: The main bed is about 49 inches wide and 75 inches long. There’s an extra piece that adds about 18 inches to the width, perfect for a toddler. Each hammock is about 27 inches wide and 61 inches long.
Seating Cushions: The cushions are made from 3-inch thick, luxury foam and covered with a grey-brown fabric. They’re sewn with strong thread and have zippers.
The fabric called Nautolex underneath lets air in and moisture out. Under the main bed, there’s a big space to store things like bedding and clothes.
Electrical System: Our van has a Goal Zero Yeti 1000 Solar Station, which is very powerful and gives both 12v and 230v electricity. It’s like having all the usual camper-van electrical parts in one box. Goal Zero is a top brand for these power stations, and this unit cost us £1500.
It’s safer, simpler, and very reliable. You can charge it in three ways: at home, while driving using the 12v socket, or with solar panels (note: solar panels are not included). You can also add extra batteries for more power if you like camping off the grid.
Lights: The van has adjustable LED spotlights, waterproof LED strip lights with different settings, including a motion sensor option, and a motion sensor LED light in the back storage area that you can recharge.
Toilet System: There’s a special spot for a Thetford porta potti 365 toilet, which we will include for free when you buy the van.
Fridge: We have an Outwell Ecocool fridge that works with both 12v and 230v power.
Water System: The van has a 12v water pump and containers that hold 19 liters of fresh or gray water. You can get to these containers from inside the van or outside through a handy door.
Cooking: We use a Campingaz Camp Bistro 2 stove, which we find safer and more popular than carrying gas bottles. It comes with four gas canisters.
Table: There’s a sturdy Lagun table mount that spins 360 degrees and is height adjustable. You can take it off easily.
