This van has a bright and roomy inside, made with old wooden floorboards and walls with a simple style. It has a mix of strong steel pieces and sleek black touches all around. It’s set up for comfortable living all year long, with a fan in the skylight and two heaters.

Over the last year and a half, a team called The Travelling Makers has carefully designed and built the van. They thought about every little bit of the van to make a cozy and nice home that doesn’t need to stay in one place.
The van started as a 7-seater truck. We built a light, custom storage area on it. This makes more room inside and makes the outside look good too.
We painted the outside of the storage area a soft grey, and the truck part a special green. The truck part is like a storage shed. It’s a good place to store your bikes or any other gear for your trips.
We made sure the van stays warm and cozy. We used a special spray foam for insulation on the ceiling, walls, and under the bed. The floor also has cork and foam to keep the cold out.
This van has some cool features for electricity and plumbing:
For electricity, there’s a big solar panel on the roof that powers a battery. When you drive, a special system charges this battery too. There’s a powerful device that turns the battery’s power into the kind you can use in regular plug sockets.
All the wiring goes to a central fuse box. There’s also a plug on the outside of the van so you can connect to electricity at campsites. This setup will automatically switch to using campground power when available.
For water, there’s a big tank outside that locks. This tank sends water to the kitchen sink and shower using a pump and a pressure helper. There’s also a water heater that can warm up the water quickly, just by turning a switch.
Plus, there’s a gas tank underneath the van that supplies gas to the water heater and the stove. It’s cheap to fill this gas tank, and it lasts a long time.
The kitchen in the van is really bright and welcoming. It has two big windows made of Iroko wood that let in lots of light. These windows have unique steel latches shaped like monkey tails that match the other metal details inside the van.
The curtains are made of natural flax linen and easily roll up with tan leather straps.
The kitchen is set up with a white enamel sink and a stylish black faucet that provides hot water from a 13-liter boiler. There’s also a great stainless steel stove with a hob, oven, and grill for cooking.
The counter is made of wood and gives you plenty of space to prepare food. It’s above cabinets painted a lovely green that goes well with the old wooden doors.
There’s a drawer for cutlery, lots of cupboards for storing things, and a big fridge and freezer that can hold a lot of food and drinks. There’s a special spice rack made from reclaimed wood that can hold up to 24 spice jars.
You can also find a black power outlet and a USB point above the counter, so you can make smoothies or charge devices even when you’re far from home.
Above the counter, there’s a shelf for keeping fresh herbs and a coffee pot. The upper cabinets have more storage space and are lit by LED strip lights.
The bathroom in the van is well-designed and functional. It’s lined with fiberglass and has a white topcoat to keep it waterproof and smooth. There’s a cool aluminum porthole window that lets in light. You can open this window or take out the glass to let in lots of fresh air.
The shower works really well and has strong water pressure. The boiler heats up enough water for two good showers or one really long, relaxing shower in about 40 minutes.
The bathroom has a composting toilet with a special feature to separate waste. There’s also an extractor fan in the toilet area to help remove any moisture in the air.
The door to the bathroom has slats for air to keep moving and a hand-made steel latch. There’s a shower curtain that keeps water from splashing out when you’re showering.
Next to the kitchen sink, there’s a small vanity cupboard built into the wall. It has shelves and a mirror for storing your toiletries.
The living space in the van has a small, adorable log burner that makes the van feel cozy and warm. It sits above a storage area where you can keep logs ready for chilly nights.
If it’s a cold morning or you need to warm up the van quickly, there’s a diesel heater under the sofa. It heats up the space fast, using fuel from the van’s main tank. The corner sofa is big and comfortable, covered in beautiful woven fabric.
It can also turn into a small bed that’s 5 feet by 2 feet. From this sofa, you can enjoy the view through the stable door, which lets you keep the bottom closed for privacy.
When you want some privacy or it’s time for bed, there’s a linen curtain you can roll down. The door has strong locks for safety and a latch bolt inside. There’s also a large skylight that brings in lots of light and has a screen to keep out bugs and a blind that blocks out heat and light when you want.
Next to the sofa, there’s a tall wardrobe with five shelves and a door that lets air flow. There’s also a light switch on the side of the wardrobe that lets you control the lights inside and outside the van.
The bedroom in the van is cozy and well-designed. There’s a two-step ladder next to the sofa to help you easily get in and out of bed. The bed area is above the driver’s seat and features a full king-size mattress that’s 6 inches thick and made of memory foam, providing great comfort.
The area was specially built to be spacious, bright, and airy. Above the bed, there’s a special vent that keeps you cool during the summer. For reading at night, there are spotlights, and there are also two double USB ports for charging your devices.
The top of the wardrobe has a built-in nook where you can store your books and phone. The mattress is placed on raised slats to allow air to flow underneath, helping to keep the bed area fresh. The slats sit on insulated and carpeted plywood to keep warmth in.
There’s a window by the bed that offers beautiful views when you wake up. The natural linen curtains can be rolled up or down to adjust how much light comes in and help control the temperature.
The price for this van is £38,000.
