The ‘Swallowtail’ model is a tiny house on wheels that is both affordable and flexible. It offers many optional extras that you can add as your budget increases.

This model is designed to grow with you as your needs and budget change. You can add different features and arrange your furniture in various ways as you like.

About the exterior
The Swallowtail has a butterfly roof, which is why it’s called ‘Swallowtail.’ This roof has a hidden gutter and downspout that make it easy to collect and connect water, all tucked away behind a decorative timber screen.
The outside of the house is mostly covered with textured plywood and corrugated metal, giving it a modern look with materials commonly used in Australia.
About the interior
The layout of the Swallowtail focuses on being flexible and affordable. It has a loft ladder that folds down, allowing you to use the floor space below however you wish.
The placement of doors and windows takes advantage of long views and air circulation. As your budget grows, you can also add more built-in cabinets and other features to the interior.
This loft space is versatile and doesn’t have to be just for sleeping. Flexibility is very important in small spaces. Although lofts are great for cozy bedrooms, they might not suit everyone.
This design offers a place to sleep on both levels, with an easy-to-use retractable ladder for getting up and down. The ladder has several spots to hold onto and can be tucked away into the ceiling when you don’t need it.
About the kitchen
We provide essential kitchen items that are easy to expand on. Our kitchen cabinets come from Ikea’s affordable and modular system. You can add more cabinets and countertops as needed.
There’s also extra space planned in the design for when you want to expand. If you’re interested, check out www.tinyhousecompany.com.au to purchase.
