Lovely off-grid tiny house with dual bed design & garage door window

Sharing is caring!

We really like the idea of placing eco-friendly, off-grid tiny homes on protected lands. This lets people explore nature and reconnect with the outdoors.

One such home is the Mica cabin. It uses solar panels and batteries to power lights, a heating fan, a composting toilet fan, and USB outlets. It also has a backup generator.

For heating, cooking, and hot water, the cabin uses two large propane tanks. The Mica cabin has a special indoor toilet that separates urine and solids.

The urine goes into an underground system outside, and the solids turn into compost in a container until they are safe to use on the land. The cabin also has a system to clean water from the sink and shower.

The cabin gets its water from the lake, and it stores this water in a tank outside that is always full. One great thing about this cabin is that the bed is on the main floor, so you don’t need to climb a ladder to a loft. This setup uses more space on the main floor, but it’s very convenient.
