We are Laura and André, and we love to travel. We decided to try something new and started living in a van. We used to be very careful and liked to plan everything. But in June 2018, we bought an old van, a 1986 Mercedes Benz 407D, and turned it into a home.
We did all the work ourselves even though we had never done anything like that before. Since April 2019, we’ve been traveling around Europe. We don’t live in a regular house anymore and we don’t have regular jobs in Germany.
We share our van life adventures on YouTube and Instagram. We make videos about fixing up our van, traveling, and living in the van.
We want to help others feel excited about traveling in Europe and make them smile with our stories. It’s important to us to be real and honest, not just show the good parts.
Our van, which we call Oskar, was once used by the German Red Cross. It took us nine months to turn it into a cozy place with a farmhouse style inside. We share our journeys through videos on YouTube and hope to encourage others to chase their dreams too.
