Kenny loves to fix up old things that others might throw away. He calls himself a “restorer fanatic.” Kenny has always enjoyed fixing up houses. When he decided to build his own tiny house, he felt ready for the task.
He built his small home using almost all recycled materials, and it took him 9 months to finish. During the building process, Kenny found clever ways to use every part of the space. Now, his tiny house is truly one of a kind.
Kenny believes that fixing up homes is something he was meant to do. He has worked on several house renovations and picked up many skills along the way, even before he could watch how-to videos on YouTube.

I love learning from my mistakes, and it really excites me. I’m drawn to living simply and using less fuel. I enjoy making things smaller and more efficient. It’s a creative challenge for me. I like to figure out how to make the most of what I have to create what I want.

I’m obsessed with restoring old items. I enjoy searching through old stuff to see what I can make with it. I always want to know how things are done, and I can’t stop myself.

I joke that my mix of obsessive-compulsive and attention-deficit disorders helps me stay focused while constantly thinking of new ideas and projects.
My name is Kenny Foust. I’m from Manhattan, Kansas. My pride is my tiny home on wheels—a 1976 Dodge that I live in.
