Carol is an amazing person. She has stayed positive despite facing many hard times. She lost her son and all her pets except her dog in a big fire in Paradise, California.
Not long after, she got divorced, and the dog she saved from the fire died a month later. But Carol has been able to rebuild her life beautifully.
She hired someone to build her a tiny home, and now she lives with her 1-year-old Golden Retriever on the Oregon coast in a tiny home village. Carol hopes to buy her own land someday and live completely off-grid.

“Hi, my name is Carol McBride, and I own a tiny home. I’ve loved tiny homes for many years. My life changed a lot after my son died and I went through a divorce, leaving me on my own.

I was excited to try living in a tiny home. Last summer, I went to my first tiny house festival in San Jose. I walked through the tiny homes to see what they were like, and they were awesome.

That’s when I knew I had to have one. Living tiny helps me get out and enjoy the world more, which has been healing for me. It’s a wonderful life now.

I love my tiny home and I’m very proud of it. It’s smaller than many others on the market, but I like that it’s easy to pull and keep clean. It’s just adorable and feels like a tiny hug. I love it!”
