Annelies is a young furniture maker in Christchurch, New Zealand, who has built her own tiny house on wheels. She used materials from houses that were damaged in the big 2011 earthquake.
Her house sits on a custom-made flat-deck trailer that is about 23 feet long and 8 feet wide, making the house around 188 square feet in size. Now, it’s parked in what used to be a church parking lot, and she has turned it into a wonderful home.

What’s really impressive is that Annelies built this home on a very small budget—only about $19,000 in U.S. dollars. She managed to do this because she built it herself and was smart about finding second-hand materials to use.
