Mark has had a very interesting life. He worked as a professional mime and clown, traveling around the world and making thousands of people smile. Now, he’s retired and lives on a beautiful houseboat in New Zealand, which makes him happy every day.
His houseboat, called the Gypsy Rose, is off the grid. It makes its own electricity using solar panels and collects rainwater in a big tank on the shore. Mark has a shower on his boat and uses a composting toilet on land.
Mark loves where he lives because it’s so beautiful and peaceful. When he wants to go out on the water, he just hops into his kayak, which is tied to his houseboat, and paddles around the ocean.
