After its journey across the ocean, this shipping container reached New Zealand and was turned into a beautiful home for a young, energetic couple. They lived in their container home for three years. When their family grew, they decided to renovate it into a larger family home.
Kim and James did an amazing job designing and building their home. They started with a 40-foot shipping container and cut it down to 30 feet to fit their land and meet local rules. They added a big deck and a fantastic outdoor living area around the home.
The home is set up on top of two 20-foot shipping containers. One is used for storage, and the other serves as the headquarters for the couple’s business.
