In 2014, Rocky Mountain Tiny Houses got a special request from the TV show HGTV.

They wanted to film Rocky Mountain building a tiny house. Derek and Mary, who were the clients, said yes to being on TV.

The producers really liked the idea for the house because it needed to be special. It had to be light enough for a small truck to tow it.

It also had to be cozy enough for cold weather and comfortable for the couple’s dog, Buddy.

The house that was built looks like a typical tiny home, but it can handle the tough winters in Nebraska.

Instead of using normal wood framing, Rocky Mountain used SIPs, which stands for structural insulated panels.

These panels keep heat in very well and are also very strong and long-lasting.

However, they are a bit harder to use than regular wood.

The tiny house was built on a special 18-foot trailer and has natural cedar siding with a strong metal roof on top of its SIP frame.

It has big windows on every side. Once the house was set up in Nebraska, the homeowners built a big deck outside.

Inside, there’s a small but powerful wood stove that heats the house. There’s also a propane heater for times when they don’t want to keep adding wood to the fire.

It was important to them to have enough space for a regular sofa and a wall big enough to hang a 40-inch TV across from it.

They created a cozy entertainment area right next to the stove, which fits everything they wanted.

The homeowners wanted stairs for their dog to use instead of a ladder to the loft.

They designed custom stairs with plenty of storage spaces and small cubby holes.

There’s even a special spot for their dog, Buddy, under the first step.

Behind these winding stairs, there are built-in shelves to make the most of every inch.

In the kitchen, there are sleek stainless steel countertops that are very sturdy.

There’s also an extra island for more space to prepare food. The house has a full-size fridge, so the homeowners can cook just like they’re used to.

Wall-mounted cabinets and shelves provide lots of room to store kitchen supplies and dishes.

In the kitchen, there’s another cabinet with a matching stainless steel top that provides extra space for preparing and serving food, as well as storage.

The first floor has exposed beam ceilings that make it look like a rustic cabin.

It’s decorated with a country-style lamp that has a wooden base.

The sleeping loft has ceilings high enough so you can sit up comfortably. There are built-in storage spaces for shoes and snowboarding gear.

The wood paneling in the loft is left natural to keep the cozy cabin feel.
