Inside, this converted skoolie offers a cozy cabin oasis

Paved to Pines is a small business in Saskatchewan, Canada, with just three people.

They help customers live the dream lifestyle they want by building custom campers.

These campers range from tiny cargo vans to big 40-foot buses known as skoolies that can travel far away from cities and towns.

The shop turns these vehicles into full homes on wheels with beautiful interiors.

Each project at Paved to Pines, including Mike’s Cabin on Wheels, has a unique design.

Mike’s converted school bus looks more like a cozy cabin than a bus. It has a deep forest green outside.

Inside, to make it feel like a mountain cabin, the walls and ceilings have wooden panels stained with a pecan-colored finish called MinWax PolyShade.

Right inside the living space, there’s a beautiful, custom sectional sofa in rich emerald.

It’s a cozy spot to read a book or watch a movie on a TV mounted on the wall.

The sofa can also pull out into a bed for guests to sleep on overnight or take a quick nap.

Across the bus, a small but powerful wood stove keeps the space warm.

In the kitchen, walls painted in Jade Dragon green nicely match the bright sofa.

The counters are made of striking butcher block wood. There’s a large sink, along with an oven and stovetop for cooking.

The counters are big enough for preparing food or eating at small nooks. A pull-down faucet in dark bronze adds a touch of style.

The bathroom has a shower with cedar panels, a skylight, and a Maxxair fan to keep the air fresh.

The walls are lined with white subway tiles for a clean look.

At the back of the bus, there’s a bedroom with a full-sized bed.

It’s surrounded by windows and a skylight above, so Mike can see the stars and sun, just like in a real cabin.
