If you’re looking for a house with a rustic feel, check out the Mountaineer by the Avery Cabin Co. of Alabama.

It’s a cozy home that measures 399 square feet and costs $50,000. This price includes delivery and setup in certain areas.

Mike Hayman from Ozark Tiny House Outlet in Arkansas, the only place that sells these cabins, wondered how people would feel about living in a small home all the time.

So, he began to keep track of how many customers were interested in one-bedroom houses.

Mike Hayman shared, “I’m surprised how many young professionals, retirees, and older adults who want to be near their families are asking about smaller homes more each day.”

Hayman really likes the Mountaineer because it’s the most affordable model from Avery Cabin Co.

The Mountaineer comes with some great features. It has insulated windows, a metal roof, and fiberglass insulation in the floors, walls, and ceiling.

It also has linoleum flooring over OSB or plywood decking and smart panel stained lap siding.

You can choose to add stained interior walls and beams, real pine flooring, a loft with stairs, and rolled log siding as extra options.

The stained lap siding on this small home makes it look like a cozy log cabin.

It comes with a 14-by-8-foot porch, which you can upgrade to 16 feet. You can also choose a screened-in porch to add more usable space.

The living room has enough space for a love seat and a chair. A wooden sign that says, “Home is where you hang your antlers,” hangs above the double glass doors, adding to the rustic feel.

The real pine flooring is so beautiful that you won’t want to cover it with a rug.

The kitchen has black appliances, including a microwave, refrigerator, and stove, along with a black farmhouse sink.

These create a nice contrast with the custom cabinets made by Avery Cabin.

The wood grain pattern on the walls and the wooden ceiling beam add to the home’s rustic feel.

The bedroom is spacious enough for a bed that fits two people. A pair of windows lets in lots of natural light.

The simple bathroom can fit either a shower-and-tub combo or just a shower.

The white shower and the brown wood-patterned walls match the cabin’s rustic style.

This model also offers a loft, which you can use as an extra bedroom or for storage. Wooden safety bars on the loft add to the rustic design.

The narrow wooden steps, tucked neatly against the wall, come with a handrail to make climbing safer.
