In 2014, Travis Pyke, who started Wind River Tiny Homes, built a beautiful, small house called the Wind River Bungalow.
He and his wife, Brittany, live there together. Brittany initially thought she might feel trapped in a tiny home, but she discovered it made her feel free instead.
Living in the Wind River Bungalow helped Travis and Brittany enjoy a simpler lifestyle.
Travis knows a lot about tiny homes because he lives in one. He uses his experience to help his team build homes that are both pretty and practical.
Travis also makes sure to work closely with his clients to build their homes just the way they want.

This 18-foot home is mainly built with cedar wood. The brown color of the wood fits beautifully with the forest around it.
The house has several windows that let in light and air. On the deck, two rocking chairs seem to say, “Come and relax while you enjoy nature.”

Inside, there’s a cozy sitting area at one end of the home. You can also sit in a white lounge chair on the other side of the room.
The wood floors, walls, and ceiling all have a natural, unfinished look that matches nicely.

In the kitchen, open wooden shelves give lots of room to store things. Several cooking pans hang from a steel rod on the wall.
There are also custom-built oak cabinets for even more storage.
The white countertops go well with the nearby white half-circle table.

Above the kitchen is a loft, which is the main sleeping area. You can get to it by climbing a built-in steel ladder.
The loft has a gable ceiling, which makes it feel more spacious and gives extra room overhead.

The medium-sized bed has a thick mattress that rests right on the hardwood floor.
A large window behind the bed lets sunshine pour in. The walls are painted a light green, which makes the room feel calm and soothing.
The wooden ceiling is low over the bed, making the space cozy.

The bathroom has a simple white shower stall with a stainless steel shower head.
The wooden ceiling adds a rustic touch that matches the rest of the house.
