Check out this incredible DIY pirate ship made out of a dump truck

Sharing is caring!

A man built his own pirate ship from a dump truck, and it looks amazing.

Rauno Märtsoo took only six weeks to transform the dump truck into a ship that Captain Blackbeard would be proud of.

The finished ship, shown in the video above, even has a cannon and a pirate flag to make it look more real.

The pirate ship started used to be a dump truck

We’ve seen some amazing DIY projects, like someone who spent 20,000 hours making their own Batmobile, another person who built a giant, street-legal bumper car, and someone who turned their bed into a car.

Rauno Märtsoo chose to live the pirate life and started building his own ship using a dump truck as the base. It was a unique and clever idea.

Rauno, also known as Pirates Eye on YouTube, used a 1982 Gaz 52 dump truck for his ship.

This truck has a 3.5-liter gasoline engine and uses about 40 liters of gas every 100 kilometers.

To make the body of the ship, he used plywood, wooden pallets, geotextiles, and wooden beams, all put together with clamps, nails, and screws.

The unique DIY ship can drive on land and sail on water

Rauno Märtsoo’s pirate ship needed 25 cans of matte black spray paint to give it a dark and mysterious look.

Since it’s built on a dump truck, the ship can go in water up to 50cm deep and also drive on land. Isn’t that cool?

To finish off the pirate look, Rauno added a working cannon, a couple of steering wheels like you see on old ships, and a pirate flag.

The best part?

The dump truck’s self-tilting feature still works, so you can tip anything (or anyone!) overboard without making them walk the plank.

Who else thinks they need one of these now?
