Sharing is caring!

In a peaceful part of New England, a group of lifelong friends started a special journey to achieve a dream they all shared.

They didn’t just want to build vacation homes; they wanted to create a retreat—a place to reconnect with nature and with each other.

They named this charming village “Meadowbrook Hamlet,” but everyone who lived there called it “Cottage Enclave.”

Three friends were at the heart of Meadowbrook Hamlet:

Eliza, who loved gardening; Julian, an architect who cared about the environment; and Maeve, who was passionate about interior design. They had a clear goal: to build eco-friendly cottages that fit perfectly with the natural beauty around them.

Each cottage had steep roofs, soft pastel walls, and welcoming porches with wicker chairs and colorful flower pots.

These details showed their commitment to both sustainability and beauty.

The colors of the cottages ranged from soft lavenders to sage greens, adding to the whimsical charm of the hamlet.

When visitors step into one of these cottages, they feel warm and comfortable. The living room has a cozy fireplace and furniture made by hand, perfect for relaxing.

Lantern-style lights give a soft glow, adding to the natural light from the windows. The floors, made of reclaimed wood, add to the rustic yet elegant feel of the space.

Carefully picked antiques and handmade quilts add a touch of history and warmth.

To get to the sleeping area, you pass through a hand-carved wooden door. This opens into a peaceful room with a king-sized bed made from reclaimed wood.

The bed is covered with organic sheets and a handmade quilt that matches the colors of the meadow outside. The sound of linen curtains rustling blends with nature sounds, helping you have a peaceful sleep.

Each cottage is about 600 square feet, giving you a cozy but fully functional living space. It includes a porch for enjoying morning coffee in the fresh air, a small kitchen with old-fashioned appliances, a comfy bedroom, and a bathroom that mixes rustic and modern styles beautifully.

Meadowbrook Hamlet stands out because of its community center, a barn that’s been turned into a big gathering space of 2,000 square feet.

This barn has a large kitchen, a dining area, and a lounge where everyone comes together to eat, celebrate, and make lasting memories.

The walls are covered with art and photos of the hamlet and its people, showing the story of a community built on dreams and friendship.

For Eliza, waking up to the sound of the river and seeing dew-covered meadows felt like living in a real-life poem. She often said that Meadowbrook Hamlet was their shared canvas, a place where they could bring their dreams to life.

Reflecting on their journey, Eliza realized that, just like Vincent van Gogh said, “What is done in love is done well.” This idea was the foundation of their village.

It showed that when friends come together with the same dream, they can truly make something beautiful happen.
