People often say not to judge a book by its cover, and that’s true for houses too, like this tiny one in Japan! Check out some pictures below.

The house, designed by Mizuishi Architects Atelier, sits on a small triangular piece of land between a river and a road. It covers only 594 square feet and looks very small from the outside.

However, it’s surprisingly roomy inside.
This triangular house has two floors. On the first floor, there’s a bedroom.

This bedroom is simple and serene. It has a large bed, wooden flooring, and plenty of natural light from multiple windows. There’s a traditional wooden dresser and some plants, adding a touch of nature.
White curtains and walls keep the room feeling fresh and open.

The second floor holds the kitchen and living room.
The kitchen is sleek, with a dark countertop and light wooden floors. There’s a wooden dining table with chairs, and plenty of light streaming in from large windows, making the space feel open and airy.

This cozy home has a high, sloped ceiling with a small loft above the kitchen.

There’s also a small playroom for the family on a mezzanine level, which you can get to by a ladder. The walls are all painted white, which makes the place feel bigger and brighter.

This small, modern house looks warm and inviting at night.

It has a unique triangular shape with a dark roof and light walls.
The house glows from inside, showing off large, tall windows and cozy lighting that illuminates the interior, creating a welcoming atmosphere in its quiet neighborhood.
