This house is called Ol’ Berthoud Blue, and it shows that you can find a solution to any tough project with some expert help.
Alden owns this tiny home. At first, she wanted to build the whole house by herself.
She went to classes, bought a trailer, and began working on her home.
But soon, Alden realized she needed help. That’s when Rocky Mountain Tiny Houses stepped in to save the day.
They took apart the house Alden was building and used the materials at their office in Colorado. Two months later, Alden received her special tiny home.
A bright blue front door welcomes visitors into this trailer home. Inside, blue is the main color you see everywhere, from the outside to the inside of the house.
In tiny homes, it’s great to have things that can be used for more than one purpose.
For example, there is a special dining area that has a table and two chairs covered in fabric. These chairs can turn into a 6-foot bed.
Right across from the dining area is the kitchen. It has shiny stainless steel countertops and cabinets from Ikea.
The floor and ceiling are made of beetle kill pine, which makes the space feel cozy.
The main feature of this room is the big cedar tub with a custom-built shower rod.
Right across from it, there are shelves that the owner can move around if she wants to. The steel beams stand out nicely against the wooden ceilings.
There’s also a small room with a composting toilet.
The stairs going up to the loft are made of wood, just like the rest of the house. Each step also has room to store a few small items.
Up in the loft, there’s enough space for a king-sized bed. There’s a full surround sound stereo system with a projector, perfect for watching movies.
A skylight and several small windows let in plenty of sunlight during the day.
From above, you can see the whole inside of the house. It shows that with good planning, a tiny home doesn’t have to feel cramped.
