Many people are choosing to live in tiny homes these days because they want a simpler life. A tiny home has just what you need.

Buying a tiny home can save you money compared to buying a bigger house.

The costs of owning a home go down when the home is smaller. A tiny home is also easier to keep clean and maintain.

The Cardinal is one of the top-selling models at Recreational Resort Cottages & Cabins.

Sales Manager Mike Timmons says this home is 399 square feet, 15 feet wide, and 40 feet long. Owners can customize it however they like.

The look of a tiny home can change a lot based on how you decorate it.

The owner of this tiny home chose white as the main color with black and brown accents on the outside.

It has a copper metal roof and copper skirting. The steps leading into the house were custom-made to match the tortoise brown composite decking.

Curtains were added on each side of the six-foot front porch, which can be closed for more privacy.

There are wooden rocking chairs on the porch and a black ceiling fan with five blades.

These make it comfortable to enjoy the outdoors, even on a sunny day.

When you step inside the living area, you’ll see big double windows and clerestory windows above that bring in lots of sunlight.

There’s LED lighting throughout the space. The ceiling fan with white blades matches the white walls.

The owner chose small dorm room-sized furniture to make the most of the space.

There’s an L-shaped, dark-colored couch with bright throw pillows, a round coffee table, and a low, gray chair with slim armrests in the living area.

A gray and blue rug defines this space from the rest of the house. A flat-screen TV is on the wall above a fireplace.

The owner made his home a smart home, controlled by Google.

A white marble-topped island separates the living area from the kitchen.

The kitchen is all white with a porcelain farmhouse sink, white upper cabinets, a microwave, a four-burner stove and oven, a classic white refrigerator, and a stackable washer and dryer.

There is extra storage space above the washer and dryer. There’s also a pullout board between the machines that’s useful for folding clothes right out of the dryer.

A sliding pocket door leads to the bathroom. The cabinets above the countertop are white, and the ones below are dark blue.

The countertop extends over the toilet, offering more storage space.

A window above the toilet lets in natural light, and a frosted glass window with a leaf pattern makes the room look special.

The owner chose curtains instead of a glass door for the bathtub and shower area.

Two pegs on the wall nearby are perfect for hanging towels or clothes.

Another sliding pocket door leads to the bedroom. A queen-sized bed is the main feature of the room.

There’s a nightstand on each side of the bed, each with a matching lamp.

Like the rest of the house, the bedroom has high windows that let in natural daylight.

The owner chose custom-made curtains for privacy because he couldn’t find any in stores that were long enough to go from the ceiling to the floor.

A chandelier hanging above the bed makes the room look impressive.

The house has a unique eight-foot porch at the back that is big enough for three wide lounge chairs with cushions and tall potted plants.

This makes it feel like nature is closer to home. The back porch has screens on the sides and bottom.

Like the front porch, there are curtains for privacy. A custom ceiling fan helps cool the area on hot days, and a LED fireplace keeps it warm on cold nights.
