They created NextDoor Housing so that people like Louiselle’s Grandma Shirley could have a close place to live and be near her family.
Each home is 30 feet long, can fit a wheelchair, and is officially a traveling home, so it can go places.

The homes have big windows that let in lots of light and high ceilings that make the inside feel open and airy.
The main bed is on the ground floor. There’s also a sleeping loft, perfect for grandchildren or other visitors who might stay over.
The dining area and kitchen counter have plenty of space for eating, making crafts, and playing board games.
The homes have low countertops and are 8 feet wide, making every room, including the bathroom, easy for someone in a wheelchair to use.
Each home comes fully equipped with plumbing, allowing you to live independently.
They also look great from the outside—don’t you agree? For Grandma Shirley, this tiny home lets her live on her own but still be close to her family.
“I wouldn’t need any more than this,” she happily says.
