This house tells many stories. Stories about the culture, personal history, nature, and making things by hand. We celebrate the great tradition of craftsmanship here by working with some of the best local creators.
When you stay at the Nook, you’ll have a unique experience. Almost everything you touch or use is made by hand, from woven fabrics to carved wood.

About the space
Craftsmanship here is special because it uses local natural resources like plants and trees. For example, Mike enjoys using black walnut wood because it’s beautiful.

Jessica uses the walnut shells to dye wool, Chris makes a special drink from the young nuts, Ashley adds the nuts to her baking, and Kristen knows not to plant a garden under these trees.

The Nook is only 15 minutes from downtown Asheville and 8 minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway. It’s an ideal spot for artists or a romantic escape. The house design, created by our friends Rob and Karie from Shelter Collective, fits perfectly among the trees.
