Jordan has spent most of his career building things, and Jessi has always loved designing the inside of homes. During winter, Jordan’s work usually slows down, so they needed a way to keep busy.
They got inspired by their friends who live in tiny homes and decided to build their own called Sweetwater. They were surprised by how much work it was, but they loved seeing their ideas become real.
After they sold Sweetwater, they were excited to keep making more tiny homes. Now, they are working on building another one.
What’s Included in the House:
Trailer: It’s 28 feet long and 8.5 feet wide, with special jacks to make it level, brakes, and lights for driving on the highway. It’s safe to take on the road.
Structure: The house is built with strong wood and has a type of roof that slopes down.
Outside Walls: The outside is covered with a type of cedar wood that’s both pretty and weather-resistant.
Insulation: The roof and walls are filled with a special foam that keeps the temperature inside comfortable. The floor has a sturdy foam layer, too.
Inside Walls: The walls inside are covered with painted wood.
Inside Details: The woodwork inside is painted pine.
Windows: They are made of a material that helps save energy and matches the house’s style.
Roof: The roof is metal and can be the color you choose.
Floor: The main areas have hardwood floors, and the bathroom has a durable vinyl floor.
Cabinets: The cabinets have a simple design and are made of real wood. You can choose their color.
Hardware: The handles and knobs on the cabinets come in several finishes like nickel or brass.
Kitchen Features: The kitchen has a butcher block counter, a high-quality fridge, a gas stove, an electric oven, and places for a washer and dryer. There’s a big farmhouse-style sink and a faucet with a sprayer.
Bathroom: It has a white sink, a faucet, a shower with a glass door, a mirror, an exhaust fan, and a modern toilet.
Heating: There’s an electric heater you can set with a thermostat.
Water Heater: It uses propane and doesn’t hold water all the time, so it saves energy.
Plumbing and Power: The house has connections for water and power. It also has a drain for used water and is ready for internet and TV.
Lighting: There are built-in lights in the ceiling, a chandelier in the living area, and lights outside.
Doors: There’s a sliding door inside and a strong door that leads outside.
Spaces: There’s a main bedroom on the ground floor and a second area upstairs that you can use as a living room or another bedroom.
Outdoor Features: There’s a deck made of stained cedar, a railing, and an outdoor electrical outlet.
