Bert is a special van called a Citroen Relay. We turned it into a camper van during a time when we had to stay home a lot. We planned to travel a lot this year, but now we need to move back to London and can’t take Bert with us.

We bought Bert in great shape since it was used to move furniture before and didn’t have much wear and tear.

We got to take Bert on a few short trips and even a six-week adventure around Northern Europe. It’s really comfy to travel in. We had rented other campers before from Quirky Campers, so we knew what we wanted when we built Bert.

Here’s what we added to Bert:
- A side door and windows at the back
- A big solar panel on the roof
- A complete electrical system with batteries and all the wiring needed
- Two fans on the roof
- Tanks for clean and used water under the van
- Pipes and a pump for water
- A gas system for cooking with a safe setup
- Good insulation to keep it warm and cozy
- A big bed on a metal frame
- A small kitchen with a stove, fridge, sink, and places to keep things
- A heater and a thermostat
- A sturdy table that slides out

We also took good care of Bert:
- We made sure everything was working well and replaced the starter motor.
- Bert needs to be checked by a mechanic by March 31, 2021.
Details about Bert:

- Mileage: 83,979 miles
