Brett and Yulia were very careful when building their van. They thought about what they really needed and made sure to include it, even though they like to keep things simple. They really wanted a shower, which is hard to fit in a cargo van, but they managed to do it.
The van turned out beautifully, and you can tell they put a lot of effort into every part of it. They also chose materials that are safe and don’t release harmful chemicals. Now, they have their dream home.
We met about seven years ago in a professional photography program at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa. We needed partners for lab work. I was looking for a partner when I saw Brett.

He needed a partner too, so he joined me. After four months of working together in photography, we started dating.
Originally, we wanted to build tiny cabins in the forests of the Pacific Northwest because we love that area. But we decided to go a bit smaller and discovered van life on Instagram.

We saw amazing pictures and thought, “This is exactly what we want to do!” We love traveling and taking road trips without planning too much, so living in a van is perfect for us.
We made sure our van has everything we need: a bathroom with a shower, a big kitchen, and a cozy sleeping area. We wanted our van to feel like a little spa or retreat.

We did a lot of research to find the safest materials, like insulation and wood, to make our space feel great. It’s open and uncluttered, and we really enjoy cooking and eating here.
