They spent about five years on each boat, taking almost ten years to finish both.
Their project started with just an idea for a wooden yacht. They worked on it step by step, building a little more each day.
Building these big boats was a big job for just two people and took a lot of time.
After five years, their wooden yacht named ‘Galaxy’ was finished. They used a crane to put it in the water.
It was a very proud moment for them, but sadly, it didn’t last long.
Building another boat house
Because of money problems, the couple had to sell their wooden boat quickly.
But they didn’t give up. They soon started building an even bigger and stronger boat.
Their first project was challenging but doable. However, making a huge steel yacht in their backyard wasn’t easy.
So, they had the basic structure and frame made in a workshop. Then, they brought it to their backyard to finish it.
The completed boat looked as good as if it had been made in a professional factory.
It wasn’t as huge as a 394-foot luxury yacht, but it was a labor of love.
Most people wouldn’t spend so much time and effort on such a project, but with enough determination, anything is possible.
