This amazing van, inspired by “The Lord of the Rings,” is sure to impress! After his divorce, Glen, a retired police officer who became a wood-carver, wanted to do something different. He dreamed of turning a van into a fantastic tiny home on wheels.
“I love everything about ‘The Lord of the Rings,’ and I love to carve,” Glen said. “Since I was going to live in the van, I wanted it to be amazing and to make me feel good every minute I’m inside.” Glen ended up living in the van mainly because he and his partner decided to go their separate ways.
They are still friends and everything ended smoothly. “I had to make a choice,” Glen explained. “Should I buy another house, rent somewhere, or live in a van? I wanted to stay close to my kids and family.
Deep down, I knew I’d regret it if I bought a place. I always wanted to build this van, and that desire helped me decide to really do it. So, I put my heart and soul into building the van the way I wanted.”
Glen is an artist who creates beautiful wooden carvings, and his skills are clearly shown in his van. He turned his van into a magical home, inspired by “The Lord of the Rings” and “The Hobbit.” He even named the van Radagast, after the brown wizard from the stories.
Glen built the entire van by himself, putting his heart and soul into making a home that is as functional as it is beautiful. The van has everything he needs, including plenty of room for guests, a comfortable king-sized bed, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a cozy wood fire.
Glen’s van, which is also his tiny house, is now parked in the middle of a four-acre woodland area that he bought. Here, he lives in his van and takes care of the woods.
