Meet Lee Pera, a well-known tiny house community builder and geographer in Washington, DC. She built her 18-foot tiny house on wheels as a way to bring people together and explore what home really means.
Her work led to Boneyard Studios, the first urban tiny house community showcase (2012-2014), and her mission continues today through her empowering projects.

Lee shares how both her community work and tiny home have changed over time. Check out the links below to learn more and join her local tiny house Meetup.

When we visited Lee, her tiny home was parked in a backyard in DC. We love how she used space efficiently, with no built-in furniture. This allowed her to rearrange the layout to fit her needs.

Lee’s tiny house feels open and airy while still having plenty of storage, including space for a large book collection.
