Jeremy and Krista didn’t want to keep wasting money on rent in the Bay Area. So, they looked online and got interested in converting a school bus into a home, which people sometimes call a “skoolie.” They know this lifestyle might not be forever, but they’re enjoying it while their kids are young.
Krista and Jeremy are now in Gori, California, living in the school bus they fixed up. The Bay Area is known for its expensive houses, and they wanted something better for their family than just spending all their money on rent.
One day, Krista found an ad on Craigslist about a bus someone wanted to turn into a home. She showed Jeremy a picture and asked, “Do you want to live in a bus?”
