He traded an old car for a bus and built storage spaces and a bed frame using mostly recycled wood. The countertop was even made from an old goat seesaw.
Most of the decorations in the bus are from thrift stores. They all fit the style of the bus, which is a 1959 Ford B600 Warden Master. That’s a pretty cool name for a school bus, don’t you think?

I found this bus on Craigslist. I’ve always liked making deals, and this bus was something I wanted to try. I thought, “I’ve been so careful all my life, it’s time to do something fun.” So, I went for it. I wanted a really good bus without spending too much money.

By using wood and other items I found for free, including the bus which I got in a trade, I managed to do all this for about $4,500.
Aaron made his bus ready for winter by adding insulation and a solar power system for living off the grid. He calls the bus “Dorf” because a previous owner swapped the “F” and “D” in Ford on the front grill. Aaron’s dog, Chevy, is a rescue Australian Cattle dog.

Aaron converted the school bus into a home because he wanted to try something new and exciting. He’s been traveling around British Columbia in the bus, having fun and meeting new people. He plans an extra 30 minutes every time he goes out with the bus because he spends a lot of time talking to people he meets.

I really like how this bus fits my lifestyle. It lets me go kayaking and camping wherever I want. It also helps me cut down on my living costs. I feel like I still have a great quality of life, but I don’t have to work as much. This way, I can do more of what I love without missing out.
